That recipe has helped us become the country's leading bakery food-on-the-go retailer. We started the business in the late 1930s, when John Gregg delivered yeast, eggs and confectionary on his bicycle. After opening our first shop in 1951, we've grown so much that we now have ten large-scale bakeries around the UK supplying nearly 1,700 shops.
Millions of hungry customers walk into our shops every single week. And while those shops (and our products) may have changed, we're still just as committed to serving fresh, quality, affordable bakery food.
